The Iller is formed at the Illersprung by the confluence of the Trettach, Stillach and Breitach. The origin of the Iller is in the immediate vicinity of the Oberstdorf Inform Park (fitness studio) and can be easily reached from Oberstdorf as a simple hiking trail for everyone. Whether with a pram or a bike, the paths are flat and in the best condition.
Katharinenruhe viewing point: You have one of the best views of Oberstdorf from here and you are quickly back in the pedestrian zone or at the Nebelhornbahn.
Ski jump: You can watch the ski jumpers training up close in winter and summer. In the World Cup ski jumping arena in Oberstdorf Allgäu, with its five hills at the foot of the Schattenberg, the opening event of the Four Hills Tournament takes place every year. The elevator takes you to the foot of the ski jump tower and the panoramic elevator takes you further to the viewing platform.
There is a daily guided tour at 11:00 a.m. (from 8 people, registration required).
Waterfall at the Faltbachtobel: The Faltbachtobel is located just behind the ski jump. From here you could also continue to the Seealpe station or even up to the Nebelhorn. Over the course of the century, the water of the Faltbach has dug its way impressively into the slopes of the Schattenberg. The wild mountain stream can be discovered impressively and adventurously in this section of the tour.
